In Melitopol, Zaporozhye region, which is under control of the Russian army, an improvised explosive device exploded, said Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the military-civilian administration of the region, on his Telegram channel.
“An improvised explosive device was detonated near the school, opposite the Palladium shopping center. The IED was mounted on a tree and went off when a car passed,— wrote Rogov.
According to him, there were no victims, the car was damaged, the driver— minor injuries.
Rogov noted that the explosive device was stuffed with projectiles.
In a previous post, Rogov said that “in the information dumps” there was information about the explosion in his car of the head of the department of education of Melitopol, Elena Shapurova. Rogov published a video with Shapurova, in which she congratulated everyone on the upcoming Teacher's Day and said that “I'm glad to see everyone.”
Reports of explosions in Melitopol and other cities of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions are received regularly. On September 25, the regional administration reported that a Ukrainian saboteur was killed as a result of a car explosion on Lomonosov Street in Melitopol, and a certificate of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was found with him.
“A citizen of Ukraine died. A certificate of registration of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was found with him, money was scattered on the spot. <…> According to the preliminary version, the man was a saboteur who was preparing a terrorist attack, and died due to careless handling of an explosive device. However, the investigation is also considering other versions,»,— said in the message.

On September 24, Rogov said that in Melitopol, an explosive device went off at a transformer substation near the air town, which provides electricity to the Melitopol station, locomotive and wagon depot, as well as the control building.
As a result, a fire started, the workers extinguished it on their own. According to the CAA, the station's performance was not disrupted, there were no victims or injured.
